The plan was for two A-frames, with legs splayed 40°, leaning against each other at 40° Here is how I planned to attach the peak of each A using ¹/₂ inch steel through-bolts of 6 and 8 inch lengths.

And here is how I planned to attach the cross-arms to the sides of the A, using ¹/₂ inch steel lag screws of 6 inch lengths.
