Aesthetic Resonance

There is another factor that would be immediately apparent to the alien visitor to Earth, to which we humans seem to have a peculiar blindness, and that is a basic symmetry and periodicity in almost all of our aesthetic activities. There is the most extravagant symmetry and periodicity in our great churches and mosques, temples and cathedrals.
