The connection between music and human behavior can be seen by the effect that human music has on human behavior. Music tends to make us gyrate and oscillate in periodic and symmetrical motions in both simple and compound hierarchical patterns. It would take an alien visitor to notice those aspects of our nature that are so common and pervasive throughout every culture and throughout history, becase we humans have become so habituated to these things that they are almost completely invisible to us. We simply take it for granted that periodic and symmetrical patterns are intrinsically beautiful. It needs neither to be proven nor justified, it is just how things are.
