I have no doubt they will. But what those objectors fail to notice is that the conventional Neuron Doctrine is itself merely a "speculation" or paradigmatic hypothesis which itself has never been confirmed beyond a shadow of doubt. In fact the Neuron Doctrine is rife with deep and fundamental problems that cast doubt on its validity as plausible account of neural function. Until the essential principles of neurocomputation have been established beyond a reasonable doubt, every alternative paradigmatic hypothesis deserves at the very least to be released to the larger community to allow them to make up their mind on the issue.
