Incredible! I simply refuse to believe it! I don't care what you say, it simply makes no sense to me!

But there are many incredible things which have been revealed to us by science, many of which were so incredible when they were first proposed, that it took decades, or sometimes centuries, before they were accepted into the mainstream of scientific knowledge. But accepted they were, eventually. And the reason why they were accepted was not because they became any less incredible. Scientific fact is accepted on the basis of the evidence, regardless of the incredible truth to which that evidence points. Facts such as the immense size of the earth, the galaxy, and the universe, or the minute scale of the molecule, atom, and electron, or the explosive genesis of the universe from a singularity in space-time, or the bizarre phenomena of the quantum world; all of these facts are every bit as incredible today as they were the day they were first proposed. The reason why those incredible facts have come to be accepted by science is because the evidence for them has been irrefutable. In science, irrefutable evidence triumphs over incredibility, and this is exactly what gives science the power to discover unexpected or incredible truth.
